Becca's ordinary life takes a thrilling turn when she pretends to date Brett Wells: the most popular boy in school.
Becca Hartwell is starting her senior year at Eastwood High. She's not popular -- just another student coasting through high school and counting down the days until graduation.
Brett Wells is anything but ordinary: captain of the football team and most popular boy in school, obviously. With his charming good looks, flirtatious behaviour and his casual manner, every girl at Eastwood High is lusting after him.
On the first day of senior year, Becca gets caught when she tells a lie about her boyfriend -- one who doesn't actually exist. When Brett comes to her rescue, declares himself as her lover and whisks her off her feet, kissing her in front of everyone, the rumour of their love spreads like fire.
Although the two couldn't be more different, Brett and Becca find a way to transcend the typical school stereotypes and discover a love so intense and beautiful that they never expected it to actually exist.
