Kenna Barton had come to Norway to assist a friend at an archaeological site. How could she have known that falling into a cave would sweep her back to the ninth-century? Or that once there she would become caught up in a rebellion to overthrow a cruel and unjust ruler. As she struggles to survive the brewing war and to find a way back to her own time, she finds herself falling in love with the man leading the rebellion. After finding her place in the past can she just go back to her own time? Can she let go of the man she loves and return to the empty life she had? Or can she take the risk and find her future in the past?
