Parish at the age of thirteen was sent to live with her Aunt June and Uncle Kevin. Her mother; Charish Monticello was arrested and shipped to prison for killing Parish's abusive father. The court had said that Charish had no proof that she was in an abusive relationship. She had no proof that her boyfriend/baby's daddy ever laid a hand on her. With that said the honorable judge sentenced her to twenty years-to- life in prison for capital murder.
That day was the last time Paish ever seen her mother. She refused to visit her inside of a prison. She couldn't bring herself to see her mother, or talk to her behind a glass. Parish love her mother with all of her heart, but she refuse to erase the old yet beautiful memories they share with depressing ones. Parish did write her mother for some time. The older she became the less letters her mother recieved. It wasn't intentional.
At the age of eighteen Parish is Black Mailed by her uncle, making her life that much more complicated and confusing. Trying to get herself out of the situation could get her thrown out on her ass.
Parish has a hard time figuring out if a roof over her head, or her dignity is worth saving.
