Blood, Blood and more Blood - REWRITING
A flash of movement darted across the blackness, so fast I didn't have enough time to react; in less than a blink of an eye, I was pinned to the soft ground.
"How lovely of you to join us, child," the creature hissed. "But surely you know, little girl, that trespassing is a serious crime? Dear, dear... let us welcome you into our world with open arms..."
"No!" I managed to say. But it only laughed, shaking its head. It threw back its hood. I gasped. Its pupils bled into its irises and fangs shot out of its mouth.
"How I love the taste of warm blood," it purred. "Come, my child, come..."
It bent down towards me. Its fangs glinted in the moonlight...
Lily Cadence has never been anything else than ordinary. Reality is a word that she thinks makes the most sense in this agonizingly boring world, rather than fantasy, or even horror. But it's more than just everyday life out in this realistic world, even though she doesn't know it yet. Don't we all?
High school is something we all fear. Whether it be the lessons, the teachers, the homework, or the other students, there's always something that makes us anxious for a new start. But she has more than that to fear in this bleak horror of a school. Why does the school look like it does? Why are the teachers so bizarrely strange and the word "blood" seem to be worshipped in Blackwood High? Why is everything not as it seems?
Maybe, just maybe, she walked into a living nightmare when she started this school. Maybe, just maybe, there's a whole new world out there for her to see: and it's not something ordinary.
Maybe, just maybe, vampires are more than just a myth...
