The "Black Flu" has manifested itself into humanity, sending the first days of early 2017 into widespread disorder as the zombie-like pathogen takes the lives of 7.5 billion people within a year. Surviving it, is Captain of the Houston Police Department Clyde Cooper, and some of his most trusted friends before and after the start of what's known as the "Great Panic," the day when life was permanently dislodged from its clock-like works and into an endless dream. Clyde wouldn't consider it a nightmare, though. For a nightmare must be only bad. In this world, he'll undergo tragedy, coupled with unexplainable miracles of happiness, in a time where your old neighbor seeks nothing more than to sink their teeth into your skull.
