The shut off valve. That's such a clever metaphor for this. The poor man must have loved her so deeply and now he's lost her and just wants to move on yet he can't seem to stop tormenting himself.

Very clever. You and B had to have met in a writer's group or something. I have no doubt you've got mainstream publication in your future. This was very well described. You have a real gift that belies your age. This kind of reminds me of the Wreck of the Hesparus.

I love the similes and metaphors. I love the detail you used. She sounds like a girl that only appears in fairy-tales... but you kind of already mentioned that. I never knew someone could go in so much detail about a person's appearance. Keep it up!

Wow, this is very good writing. I see you like to go with dark and mysterious but you write very evocative imagery. Well done and I can't think of anything that needs changing.
