It's 'Killed or be Killed' and living in New Orleans, you start to live by the 'Survival of The Fittest' mentality. Everyone's trying to make it and be something, but there's only ever room for one person to be on top.

August Alsina, only 19-years-old, the hardest thing out in New Orleans, that is after his brother Mel, who was gunned down at the local corner store. No one saw anything and of course the cops never caught the perpetrator, so he's on a mission. Kill anyone who tried to stop him and find the person who took his best friend's life and make him suffer for all those years he had to.

Skylar Matthews only 17 and in her last few months of school. Life gets hard when it takes a turn for the complete worse. It was unexpected, horrid and downright traumatizing, but one person knew it would happen that's why he left her a note...

Will she get the Justice she deserves or will she be stuck wondering who and why forever?

When you come face to face with the Devil just how far are you really willing to go?

Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. As in any coming of age story, they will experience growing pains... but will they survive them before its too late? PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.
STONE'S DIARY by _jasthewriter
69 parts Complete Mature
9 years after the wedding, things weren't so bad for the Stone family, but it also wasn't peaches and rainbows either. A lot has changed over the years, some that could've been controlled and other's not so much. Life has always been pretty easy for the almost 18-year-old Reign Stone. With her twin, Kaari constantly by her side and always wanting to be the Pam to her Gina, Reign was wondering how life would be outside of her best friend. Their birthday was slowly approaching which meant a lot of changes for the two but mostly Reign. She wanted to find herself outside of her twin but that would be hard to do especially with the way their father and uncles raised them. Ava Amari Stone; 12 going on 13 and the most talented little firecracker ever. Dance, art, fashion, makeup, and cooking were just some of her hidden gems, but she had a thing for building any and everything from scratch; a habit she's developed from her father. She wasn't your ordinary teenager, she enjoyed animé, crime shows, mystery movies, and even corny romantic comedies but her specialty was Kairo. Her right-hand man, her best friend, and second set of ears. They were like two peas in a pod but reminded Renae so much of her and Dajon. With growth comes trials and with trials comes blessings, not everyone is meant to tag along when you make it. Sometimes you outgrow or have to let them go, but through the younger Stones eyes, take a look at just how different things were back when their parents were in the game to now... ©️ _jasthewriter 2020

Growing up motherless wasn't always what the 18-year-old Tanya Moore would've dreamt of. Life had a funny way of doing things ya know? It was bad enough she only got to spend the first quarter of her life with her mother before she lost her to stupid cancer. The only time they got to hang out was Saturday and Sunday before and after Church. She was always at home with her father, he wasn't always so bad, he was a great man, a great husband, and a loving father.. he was a retired war veteran and did nothing but collect his checks and would occasionally do favors for old friends. Stacy Moore was a high school teacher and all the kids in the neighborhood loved her. She was always so sweet and would sing to her class if they did well. A loving mother, wonderful wife, amazing daughter, a great friend, but when the good Lord calls, there is simply nothing we can do about it. As much as we may try, God always has the final say, it may be a bad way to turn things out, but remember things happen for a reason and God never makes mistakes. Once she passed away after battling cancer for three years, things changed.. for the worst, and poor sweet little Tanya was caught in the crossfire of it all. We're all afraid of something or someone, we all get tired, we all get fed up with the same old routine, but the question is, how much is enough? When is it simply too much? When should you begin to fight back or run? How long should you sit there and let the only person that you once loved and looked up to continue to misuse and abuse you? Tell me something, if you had a chance to get help would you run and never look back?
