There are reasons why people don't like Christians today. For decades we have missed the mark. If we are going to be taken seriously by a world that marginalises and discredits us openly and vehemently, we need to know how to address these issues and regain their respect. But the answers may not be what you expect.
We are called to be salt in a tasteless society and, light where it's dark. But we have lost the salt and damaged our witness by being both too timid and too smug. We need to discuss how we are to regain a voice, yes, but we need to change our hearts first. We need to earn people's respect back again without trying to appease the status quo.
It's time for each of us to individually clean house, stand tall, speak clearly but with respect and act wisely if we are ever to be listened to again. We need to speak with our action and let everything be motivated in the two greatest commandments: Love God and love people. That is, after all what the cross symbolises.

Redemption
Book Two in the Grace Series. This can most certainly be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading Grace first (and Something New before or after). Either way, enjoy: I spent my entire life trying to earn my parents' love and it just never worked. I wanted that same love Aunty gives me, from my mother. Esme Things can become clear in a second. When I found Tanner in his office with that woman, so many things became obvious. Tanner's always held himself back from me, but now, secrets and lies come tumbling out into the light. He's never loved me and he never will. Having faith in something that literally isn't there but is is tiring. Also, the world hates you and you have to fight against the one thing you can't escape, sin. Choosing to fight this battle puts a target on your mind and sometimes body, and it can make or break you. ... Seems useless, right?
