This is based on MRI reading that show the brain forms the our words six to seven seconds before we actually say them, meaning the subconsciousness is aware of what we are going to say before it happens. This poem takes that fact and questions what brain is real living in the now, and which is reacting to the stimulus life presents to us.

Victim to my scattered whole being.

Searching for truth, relationships, and piecing back together my identity. Boy did you nail this one right. I'm arriving late and holding to what riverbank of preconception I can grab, as the ripples of reality and life flow on.

Interesting contemplation and asks the question, How many tracks does our mind run on? Probably more than one and less than infinity. Just a guess.

'We walk on our head and speak with our feet'. Thought-provoking from start to finish @CottonJones. I'm going on a 6-second delay starting right...2....3.....4.....5....Now! Vtd

Great! Good to know!

Six seconds. Yes, if, we only knew... the gap of freedom ... the possibility to choose.. our kingdom

                              Thank you for this poem!

I love the acknowledgement here of the state of mind and the admission of our search through confusion. Humor and science and wisdom here. Vtd.
