Celebrating Mother’s Day when your mother is dying is no picnic. Don’t rush to judgement, though. It isn’t that I don’t cherish the memories of our last holiday. It’s just that it was awful. Harrowing. Absolutely terrible. But perfect nonetheless.

My mother passed away 5 years ago, i too had the grace to watch her pass from one world to eternity. Her love she had for my sister and i is stronger than death, i can feel it in everyday in little things. 🌷🌞❤

That was such a well written and heartfelt story. I lost my mom a few years ago and my dad many years earlier so this piece really hits home for me., very relatable. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful, powerful and poignant tribute to your mother. It brought tears to my eyes while I'm sitting here drinking my coffee on a Monday morning. Please keep on writing - your voice is so special and much needed to be heard.

@theattentivesoul I just finished reading your story about your mother's death...poignant, funny, strong, vivid. My own mother went down with Alzheimer's; the worst experience of my life, but I got a great book out of it. Writers write, They have no choice. Brava to you!!!!!
