Is something wrong?' He asked concerned, his grey eyes boring into me intensely. I didn't like looking into them when he stared at me like that.
'I'm just tired'. I lied.
The real reason was just too stupid. It shouldn't have been a reason for anything in the first place. I mean those were a few photos, knowing him, there'd be a lot more where that came from with different calibres of women.
'Are you sure?'
'Yes. What did you want to talk about, you sound serious. Wait? Don't you always?' I responded with a sarcastic smile on my face.
'Okay, I really don't know what's up with you, but I've got to ask you something'. His tone was even more serious now.
'How do you feel about marriage? And I mean personally'.
Well that took me by surprise.
'That's a weird question'. I arched an eyebrow, but decided to answer anyway. 'Well apart from knowing what it's all about, I've never really given much thought to it personally. I mean, I guess I'll eventually have to someday, I don't exactly want to die alone you know'.
'This isn't the point'. He exhaled, sounding slightly frustrated. 'How do you feel about committing to a marriage, but to me?'
I choked on my own saliva.
