Circle Wright [Complete]
Book 1 of the Elemortal Circle
Among the elemortals, Circle Magic is forbidden.
The last thing elemortals want is for the humans to become aware of them. Billions of humans, all clamoring for solutions to the problems of modern society, and only a few thousand elemortals with the abilities to manipulate the physical elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water? Elemortals realized long ago-staying hidden meant living free.
For most Elemortals, the sacred law forbidding them from sealing themselves to a Sorcerer's Circle is easy to abide. They are shielded from the Sorcerer's reach within their magically protected villages. Not so, for Sam Vardon.
Sam is a seventeen year old Fireborn by birth, but Outlander by tribal status. Exiled by the choices his mother made before he was born, Sam lives a divided life-obligated to visit the Fireborn throughout his childhood for instruction in his gifts, but living most of his life on the edge of the human world.
Sam wishes he could remember what happened that fateful day that his pseudo-human life came apart, but he can't-it's too awful, or maybe too magical. Overwhelm pushes Sam into Blood Fury, a noticeably magical affliction. The Sorcerer conveniently arrives to offer aid, in exchange for Sam's Seal. Unwilling to pay the Sorcerer's price, Sam flees to the only place he can-the Fireborn village.
Disruption follows Sam to Swailing Bluffs, and soon he realizes three things: Darkfire is rising in the world Elemortals share with humans, the Fireborn are in denial about the risks this poses to them, and he has traded one divided life for another.
Now, he must forge a path between his emerging loyalties to the Fireborn and circumstances that draw him ever closer to the Sorcerer. What will his people do if they learn his secret-that the Sorcerer claims Sam's destiny is to become a Circle Wright and usher in a new Age of Magic?
