10: Divergent (Sequel to 4 + 6 = 10)
Peter pushed his arm against my throat with more force, making it harder to breathe. I stopped struggling and he loosened his hold on me. "Easy, Prior." He looked down at the bag I dropped. He kicked it and Aris' medicine fell out.
"That little girl of yours? She's divergent isn't she?" He brushed his knuckles against my cheek. I shivered from the contact. "You know they've started testing the child divergents? Trying to find what causes them to mutate. You better watch yourself or else someone might let it slip that little Ar-"
"Don't you dare." My voice came out somewhat shaky.
"Watch it, Prior. I told you keep out of it, but you didn't listen, did you?"
