"You aren't who you think you are." Quinn purred with a devilish gleam in this eye. He enjoyed this, seeing me squirm under his gaze. His very essence made me nervous.
"W-what does that mean?" I managed to whisper, trying to back away from him. I have always been a calm, confident girl but ever since I met Quinn, I have stood on the shaky grounds of my own existential crisis. Quinn smirked and took a step forward with the lethal grace of a panther. He was a perfect shadow, blending in with the night when he needed to--a predator.
Aurora always believed she was an average girl. She went to school, had a job, payed the bills. She expected her life to stay that way. But recently, she started having the same nightmare over and over. It felt so life-like, she almost thought it was a memory. Then everything took a turn when she met Quinn. He was the perfect predator, seemingly dark and light and the same time. He knew the playing field when it came to Aurora. He seemed to just know her in a way she never thought possible. Quinn unlocked parts of her she didn't know existed. From the first moment, she was instantly drawn to him like a moth to a flame but she could never place why. What she didn't know was that he felt her connection too and it was a bond tethering both of them through eons of time and space.
