Change Is Overrated
"You're not at all who I thought you were."
"Life is full of surprises, Aubie. The sooner you realize that, the better."
Harrison Skinner is the school's "bad boy".
He has girls literally throwing themselves at him left and right.
Typical bad boy.
But there's more than meets the eye with Harrison.
No one sees this other side of him.
And no one will.
That's one thing he's determined of.
A few days before the new school year starts back up, a beautiful girl with auburn hair and curiously inviting emerald eyes moves in, inadvertently drawing attention to herself in this small town.
It's their senior year, and Aubrey Moore just wants to get through it to move on to bigger and better things, out of this temporary place. With a set goal in mind, no one, and nothing can detour Aubrey from her plan.
Study. Make good grades. Be perfect child. Graduate. Move out.
But when school's "bad boy", Harrison, and his little gang of players, try to unravel this mystery of a girl, she just seems immune to their usual charm. Instead of swooning she throws back sarcastic comments and sassy remarks.
This is the other thing Harrison is determined about. Getting the girl.
No, not any girl.
