The Story Of My Life
Midnight. I'm sitting on a table close to the window at Starbucks, in deep thought, finishing my drink. I headed out, walking past a dark, and ominous alley.
"Don't stick around to the darkness for too long, unless it comes after you first." Someone whispers to me from the alley.
"Who was that? Is anyone there?"
"The same darkness that will take away something you won't have much longer." He answers.
"What? What is something I won't have much longer?!" I ask frightened.
"Just know that I'll see you soon." He says creepily.
I wake up, drenched in sweat and fear.
I remove my blanket from myself and step onto the cold hardwood floor towards the bathroom. In the bathroom, I turn on the faucet, rinsing my face in ice cold water, to remove the sweat I have.
After I rinse my face, I look into the mirror to see not only myself, but a tall, dark, silhouette behind me.
I turn around, seeing the same man behind me. "Didn't I say I'll see you soon?" He says, smirking.
