After Dark | d.s.
Eden Jones has a naturally healing aura. Throughout her life she's attracted the broken, lost, and just plain confused. It's nothing new to her to be that go to person. As an artist and a creative, she believes it comes with the lifestyle. Only problem is that she doesn't have her go to person. She often catches herself seeking that release for herself, clinging onto any idea of love that comes her way.
Isaiah Simmons knows exactly what he wants out of life. He's with his dream girl, his career is on the up, and he has a solid group of friends. To him everything is going according to plan. That is until he comes across Eden and he's thrown completely off his axis. Eden is someone he normally wouldn't find himself associating with. She's a free spirit, not a morning person, hates attention, doesn't have any long term goals, and lives off of commission. Yet he finds himself drawn to everything he recognizes as a negative.
Eden knows she doesn't fit into Isaiah's lifestyle, yet she ignores all the red flags. The attention she gets from Isaiah is something she hasn't felt in a while, and she'll do anything to keep it. Even if it only comes at night.
