here comes the sun
take a seat, you'll be here for a while and hopefully i can keep you entertained. we'll be sitting by the fireplace except there's no fire to bask us in its warmth and glow. i'll be sitting adjacent to you in that armchair, (yes, you know the one i'm talking about-the one i accidentally spilled some coffee on last summer and then pretended the stain had been there all along) one leg on top of the other, a cup of tea resting in its saucer on my knee over my red plaid trousers and i'll be talking to you about my travels and the wonderful world i've seen. i'll be speaking in symphonies, countless soliloquies and my voice will echo softly in the room. so maybe you'd like to stay and hear this tale (or a collection of tales). i'll have to admit, you will not be exempt from my sparkling, pretentious persona and hopefully by the end of this long anecdote, you'll have discovered something about yourself as you hear me out.
