Stiles moved to New York hoping to escape the marks left by Beacon Hills. All he needed to do was find a new job and get his life back on track, but when an interview at his new job goes horribly wrong - well, first impressions weren't really his strong suit anyway. And Derek Hale, one of the most powerful men in the city, doesn't seem too keen on him despite what he's told. Stiles knew Derek was dangerous from all the rumors and gossip, but he just didn't know how dangerous. And danger had never looked so goddamn fine before.

One night in Beacon Hills, California, Derek is killed by hunters right in front of Stiles, with the police not doing anything to figure out what happened, that leaves Stiles to have to hunt down Derek's killer, all while still grieving him. Can he continue doing this or will the pain consume him? COMPLETE

Life for Stiles Stilinski is pretty good. He lives with his dad and two sisters in the small town of Beacon Hills, but when an old family moves back into town, Stiles can't help but notice how attractive Derek got, only Derek seems to be into his sisters rather than him. Derek Hale has moved back to Beacon Hills due to his mother's job. He remembers the Stilinski siblings, but he doesn't remember them being so good looking. Derek finds himself drawn to one in particular and can't seem to keep from making a fool of himself whenever they're around. Not that they notice him anyway.

Derek hasn't had the best track record when it comes to relationships. He is broken and he has yet to realize his worth. Sometimes we need to see ourselves from the eyes of the people we love to know we matter. It's about finding the strength to be the person/wolf you are meant to be.
