To Live is To Die (On Hold)
The world is fighting for self-centered reasons. Each country thirsts for world domination; small countries have been swallowed to form with larger ones. Millions dead, millions dying, and millions killing. I am one of the millions dying, my family is one of the millions dead and my country is one of the millions killing.
"Youre the only person I've seen in a while who still believes in living." I told him and looked at the charred houses and bodies, a gray smoke filled the air and the sun was almost non existant. I looked down at a a dead flower; poor thing, having the will to live is just an invitation to death.
"Of course I do. I will live until it's over. I promised my father that and you should promise your mother that." He responded profoundly, I gulped and looked down.
"I don't want to live alone." I responded quietly.
"Then let's live together. I'm Alex." He said as he slipped his hand into mine.
"Im Faye." I responded clinging onto any happiness I could find.
"Then let's go." He smiled and we ran away from the shouting and shooting; although we would find safety for only a temporary amount of time, I still felt some relief.
