Before Xtavia was saved from the demon Mekiah, there was nothing but destruction and death. The Remu were tortured, slaves to beings that had no right to the land. The day came, as was told by a prophet, when the Exteru came from the high palaces and saved the Remu and enslaved the Mekiah. From there, the world was at peace and good had triumphed evil once again.

Cassius was born in a Hive to a mother he can't remember. Taken from his family at just 10-years-old, he was trained to be a Tracker, his sole job to capture escaped Mekiah and dangerous criminals of Xtavia. He's a disposable asset to his SWARM which makes it easier to live his slavery with a quiet mind. But when a job goes wrong and a demon is released from the confines of the Veil, he's put in the spotlight. With a growing track of breaking rules and abilities he shouldn't have, Cassius has now become a pawn in the Exterus' plan. It isn't until General Rexton requests for his ownership, does Cassius realize how deep his chains go. But General Rexton has more planned than using Cassius to gain status and track a demon. The Remu and the Exteru's arrangement has been thinning while the Mekiah are growing stronger. And Cassius might be what General Rexton has been searching for.
