Light to Dark (Sequel to Yin & Yang)
"There's a million reasons for me to walk out that door and rip him apart!" She screamed. Tears poured from her swollen eyes and her stomach ached from how much pain her heart suffered. She could feel the last fragments of her sanity slipping, and she feared she would go over the edge.
"And there's a million more for you to stay! Do I not matter enough to you?! Does our family not matter enough to you?! You can't walk out of here and expect me to just sit here without you!" He was desperate to keep her from leaving, but his faith was fading fast. He was terrified that he'd never see her again once she left, and the thought of her gone had him almost crumbling to the ground. His knees shook beneath him and the floor swayed, but he continued to fight.
She cried out and fell to her knees, the scars from old wounds tearing at the seams and leaving her vulnerable to the demons she defeated once before. He ran forwards and held her in his arms, and she clung to him so tight he thought he'd suffocate. She sobbed against his chest and tears of loss and helplessness fell from his eyes. He remembered every single thing that happened before, and this time, only one thing was different.
This time, she wasn't taking no for an answer
