Going through her teenage years is hard enough, but adding a surprise arranged marriage to the richest jerk in Bangladesh, tends to make life just a tad bit harder.
Born to a Bangladeshi mother, and an all American Caucasian father, Mira Choudhury had always been curious of her mother's exotic homeland, but never expected to pay a visit. After all, her late mother had been disowned by her family long ago for marrying a man of her own choice. So when her father announces that they'd been invited to attend her uncle's wedding in Bangladesh, and stay for six months in the tropical country, she was more than a little surprised. Mira was expecting a fun experience in a new, strange land, but what she got was more than her 17 year old heart could handle.
As Wahib Sen, her forced fiance, taunts her, someone else happens to catch her eye. The only problem is that he is the family driver, and frankly, the poorest boy in the village.
Wanting to avoid marrying Wahib Sen at any cost, Mira embarks on a journey of self discovery, adventure, and even finds her first love.
Perhaps she'd stroll in her mother's footsteps of falling for the one that's forbidden. If only Wahib will let her go, that is.
