The discovery of Immunes founded WICKED; an organisation dedicated to find a cure to The Flare. All the kids taken there had a meaning, a purpose. There was only one group whose purpose was different from the rest.

Group S had nothing to do with the cure and everything to do with the alternative to the lack of one. Unknowingly and unwillingly, the kids assigned to the experiment were worlds apart from the Maze Trials Subjects. 

They were mindless soldiers.

What if... Teresa never went with Thomas when she died, but instead, got the serum and went to try to save Newt without anyone knowing. In this fanfic, Newt and Cara are already in a relationship but their situation threatens to pull them apart. Will their love stand the trials brought about by a dying world? Short Summary Newt, Cara, and the rest of the group are rescued from the maze. Cara is given her memories back right before her, Newt and the group escape the WICKED facility. Her loyalty to her friends wavers but she soon realizes that she no longer wants to work for WICKED despite Teresa trying to convince her otherwise. They try to escape the grasp of WICKED as they make their way through the Scorch in search of the Right Arm. Cara struggles with personal issues and traumas that have been brought back along with her memories. Newt tries to hold her hand every step of the way.
