Cole Glassad couldn't care less about the upcoming palace ball meant to find a wife for the prince. Her life is down in the dangerous Sparkstone mines, slaving away for a few coins that her stepmother and stepsister promptly steal. With life a living hell, she has barely enough energy to care for the injured animals she tends in secret, much less a party for the royal family that cares so little for her and the people like her. It isn't until a mysterious man appears out of the shadows, claiming to be one of the long-lost faeries and offering her a chance at freedom, that she begins to see hope. In exchange for enough money to free herself from her family, the faerie asks only for one thing in return-- that Cole attends the ball in order to get close enough to the prince to assassinate him and bring an end to the corrupted royal line.

With her mission clear, Cole enters the world of the palace to learn about the prince and find a way into his ball. But dark secrets, violent plots, a strange sense that perhaps the prince isn't as bad as the faerie makes him seem, and a life-changing discovery about her past, all conspire to make Cole's shot at freedom messy and difficult. She must find the strength to get close to the prince, or else the mysterious faerie will send her back to the mines and her dreadful family.

Once the clock strikes midnight... she must fulfill her end of the bargain.
Once the clock strikes midnight... her hands must be red with the prince's blood.

A Beast stalks the night... but Beauty hunts him. A reimagining of the story you thought you knew. Rell grew up hearing stories of the Human Realm, a fantastic world with light at the flick of a finger, metal boxes that fly through the sky; a fantastic, faraway fairytale that she knows is too good to be true. Because Rell lives in the Dark Realm: a world full of magical creatures and a low-hanging sky, all protected by The Blood Rose. Until the day the Blood Rose is stolen away and taken to the Human Realm. Without it, the two realms will meet with disastrous consequences, the human sun bleaching all the magic from the Dark Realm. And so Rell leaves everything she knows to bring it back. There's only one problem: the Human Realm- especially high school- is nothing like the stories. There's some sort of code with words like "twerking" and "Instagram" she can't understand, and then there's Bastien, the boy who hates Rell for reasons she can't explain. But when Rell realizes Bastien is keeping just as many secrets as she is, the two become an unlikely team in the search for the Blood Rose. Time is ticking, and more than just The Dark Realm is at stake. Whoever stole the rose is now cursed to turn into a Beast every full moon, and is hidden among them. Students are going missing, and dark creatures are slipping into the Human Realm. Rell needs to find the Blood Rose, slay the Beast, survive high school, and sort out these new, confusing feelings for Bastien--all before the night of the full moon. To fail could mean the end of The Dark Realm and every magical creature within, but to succeed means she'll lose the boy she's falling for, and a Realm more beautiful than she ever imagined. A modern-day reimaging of Beauty and the Beast.

He towers over me, smoke curling from his lips like a warning. Eyes like molten gold fix on mine, and suddenly the night feels too still. Too quiet. "Give it back," he growls. I tighten my grip on the gemstone in my palm - the one I bled for, the one I nearly died for. "No." His nostrils flare. "You don't understand what you've stolen." I lift my chin. My heart's a thunderstorm in my chest, but my voice doesn't shake. "Then make me understand." ────•⋅⊰༻♥༺⊱⋅•───── They told me dragons were dead. Burned out of the sky. Hunted to extinction. Just another story parents whispered to scare their kids at night. They never said one might still be alive-trapped inside a soul-bound gemstone hidden in the heart of a cursed ruin. They never said I'd be the idiot to steal it. Now he's awake. And he's furious. Kael is everything the legends warned us about: dangerous, ancient, and utterly untouchable. But he's also chained to me by something deeper than fate-something neither of us understand. I can feel him. Not just near me. Inside me. And the worst part? He's not the only one who's noticed the jewel is no longer sleeping. There are others hunting us. Some want the dragon dead. Some want him alive. All of them want me out of the way. I didn't ask for this. I don't want magic. I don't want war. And I definitely don't want to care about the broken, furious prince with fire in his veins and a name like thunder. But fate has a cruel sense of humor. And I think I might be falling for the fire.

Niccola is a demi-queen undercover in enemy territory. Her little sister went missing seven moons ago, but one lead remains: a picture of a woman's face, drawn by a diviner shortly after the disappearance. Tracking her down has led Niccola to Calis, the realm next door whose border with her own remains closed for a reason. There, the trail goes cold. Until, that is, Niccola runs into a man in the marketplace who bears a family resemblance to the woman she seeks. His name is Isaiah, crown prince of Calis, and he's investigating disappearances, too. They join forces, faking courtship to sneak Niccola into the palace and get Isaiah's wedding-minded mother off his back. It doesn't take long to suspect that a common threat might underpin both their realms' problems. And as Niccola begins to develop real feelings for Isaiah, she's faced with an impossible choice: reveal her secrets and risk breaking his trust, or leave him in order to chase down the woman who stole her sister... a woman whose forbidden magic comes with a cost that could bring both realms to ruin. ❖❖❖ Complete and fully edited. Not Your Princess

32 parts Complete Mature

Loosely inspired by the fairy tale of Cinderella, Not Your Princess plays on the scenario where neither the prince nor the future princess attends the ball. Aschleigh Baker did not have a fairy godmother to rescue her when she was prohibited from attending the prince's engagement ball. No one was there to wave a magic wand and right all of the wrongs done unto her. Instead, she ended up going to the town's tavern to miserably celebrate her last night of freedom before she is forced into marrying her family's blackmailer, who knows about her secret imperviousness to fire. Prince Augustus never wanted to be forced into an arranged marriage with a stranger. Thus, on the night of his engagement ball, he finds himself visiting the nearest town's tavern to live one more day of freedom. There, he meets Asch and finds himself enchanted by her from the moment they first meet. Neither one of them was aware that missing the ball would lead to an accidental, irreversible marriage. Nor could they expect a person calling themselves the Priestess to set their sights on the new princess, intending to kill her for sins Asch is not aware of. As secrets are revealed and characters called into question, the accidental couple must learn to navigate the world with one another or risk losing more than memories of their wedding.
