Vaska spent the majority of her life bouncing around the system, in and out the door of countless foster homes, none of them keeping her for very long as she had a knack for getting herself into unwanted trouble. 
Years later, finally free to determine her own path, the young woman is still steeped in a lifetime of bad habits that would eventually end up leading to her untimely demise, if it weren't for what some may call a providential rescue by a mysterious stranger.
But is it only to be pulled from the frying pan and thrown into the fire? Her benefactor may turn out to be her worst enemy as Vaska spirals downward into a world of nightmares and destruction, having already cast her lot into this shadowy world of intrigue and subterfuge.
