Falling into the Sea
A Percabeth Fan Fiction
Annabeth Chase has always loved the ocean, has always loved swimming. Every chance she got, she was in the water. Her mother called her a mermaid most days. But on their last family vacation, on Annabeth's 13th birthday, a storm hit, and Annabeth watched helplessly as her mother and father fell off the cruise ship. No one ever found them.
Returning to shore, alone and orphaned, Annabeth goes to live with her aunt and uncle, Artemis and Apollo Olympus. Since that vacation, Annabeth refused to go near the water, refused to step a foot into the ocean.
Percy Jackson used to hate the ocean for taking his dad. He hated it so much that no person could even convince him to step into the sand. Then the ocean brought his father home, and Percy learned that life wasn't so bad. When his mom drowned on his 12th year of life, he grew angry and restless, lashing out at everything and everyone. Even after his dad returned, and he learned to love the sea, he still lashed out and fought, still argued with everyone about everything.
When they two meet at a summer camp in Long Island, can they appeal to one another? Two total opposites meeting in the last place either of them want to be, one their for her best friend, the other for his father? Will Percy open up the quiet girl who intrigues him, yet terrifies him? Will Annabeth be able to tame Percy's rage, and keep her heart from getting broken?
