she's been closed off for as long as she can remember, mostly when it comes to her family. not because she was ashamed- she was scared. no one would understand, she was sure of it.

veronica lodge didn't let people in. and when they got in, they didn't stay. it was this way with archie andrews: the truest love she'd ever felt.

he wanted to protect her but the last thing she needed was him getting hurt. it was all too real and all too possible. and he couldn't- she loved him too much.

so she left riverdale and the love of her life in a trail of dust. the only way to help him was to hurt herself. to lose the only thing she'd ever needed to rely on. 

he refuses to move on, throwing himself into everything that can distract him from her but not fix him. items of hers and pictures of her are everywhere and so is the thought of her.

and then she's back, and he doesn't know if he should be happy or sad or angry or all three.

he just knows they both need to heal.

Archie is barely home. He's in the army and Veronica is basically raising their kids on her own. This is not what she imagined her life to look like when she married Archie. She wants to be strong for her children but she's breaking inside. She doesn't know how much longer she can keep the facade up. Things seem to be perfect when Archie's home but when he leaves Veronica wonder why she married him in the first place.

She found out that he cheated on her with her best friend. For a while she didn't talk to neither of them. She was crying for days. The day she moved to New York for college, her life went even more downhill. She found out she was pregnant and the father is no one else than a cheating asshole. In that moment she needed Betty, her best friend, more than ever and she forgave her. She asked her to tell Archie about the pregnancy because she wanted her baby to have a father. Now she goes back to Riverdale once a month so her baby can spend time with Archie and she can spend time with Betty or her parents.
