Callista will do anything to protect the child growing within her, even if it means trading away the life she once knew. It was forbidden for the Nymphs to mate with the other supernatural clans taking part in the war for the Crown: a symbol of dominance in a world of mythical creatures. Yet despite this taboo Callista found her soul mate with one of the vampires. Now they must decide how to best prepare for the turbulent future that awaits them both.

But is a future as a family even possible as their world is tossed into another war? Darkness is coming, and Callista might not live to see the birth of her child.
