Mina of the Stars
Mina is a hunter in a universe of predators.
A half-breed living in the God-system, Mina's reduced to relying on her wins in the fighting pits to survive. Only, she isn't sure how much longer she can be a killer.
Kakos is a clone of a clone, a god son recreated so many times, his ruling God father Hephaestus has lost count. Kakos seeks to escape this endless cycle and the only way seems to lie in opening the passage to the planet Earth. It all comes down to one pathetic human life. The problem? Only those with human blood can visit this restricted planet.
With her half-breed status, dependent siblings, and savage record in the pits, Mina fits perfectly. Coercing her into a blood-contract buys Kakos the surety he needs.
But planet Earth in 2079 is not easily navigated especially as Mina's cursed mutation becomes known by other gods. Further complicating things, Mina becomes bound to the androgynous human Silver, leader of the Edgers: a group of humans looking to break free of the confines of Earth's today.
Problems coalesce faster than she can solve them. All of them coming to point at a single human: Nathaniel Barrack. Only the closer she gets to her mark, the more reluctant she is to follow through. She might have god-blood running through her, but it is her human side that is calling to her. If she kills him, she will be the villain.
Taking down a hero is a new low, even for Mina. But most disturbing of all is the broken reflection of herself she finds in his human eyes.
