Labeled (A The Selection Fanfiction)
The Selection Fan Fiction
"I, Clarissa Dossen, will never be free from the cage of other people's choices."
Clarissa Dossen is a 17 year old girl sent to The Fraussen Prestige Institute, a boarding school for the rich and famous kids of Sarroine. Her parents are very wealthy and well known, and her mom has devoted herself to a lifestyle of the utmost leisure and relaxation. Clarissa's dad, however, is down to earth and kind.
In her young country, Sarroine, everyone is labeled. The Prestige are rich and famous, with the Royalty slightly above. The Elite have the wealth of a prestige, but not the fame, and the Modest have a "just enough" lifestyle. They don't have anymore than they need. But, greatly looked down upon are the Unlabeled. They are such a disgrace to the country that they are ignored. Clarissa believes that these boundaries shouldn't be in place, and when war breaks out, she doesn't know what side to choose. Loyalty to her family and label or loyalty to what she thinks is right?
And what happens when she realizes she has been selected for a competition she doesn't want to be in? Will she ever want to be a contender in The Selection? Will Prince Alexander win her heart?
Her world is called Sarrione, which is what, in my story, Maxon and America re-named the country because of its bad pasts with the caste system. They are the current Prince's grandparents.
