My Little Kitten
Layla is small, even for a neko. She is extremely short, has skinny arms. a tiny tummy, and basically no waist. To put it bluntly, she was a child. Although she's 17 most could mistake her for an eleven year old. This paved the way for many short jokes, demeaning comments, and very few friends. Nobody wanted to be seen with someone who looked like a little kid, for they thought she would look like their sibling or maybe even their daughter. That was just something nobody would want to have to go through. It was deemed "uncool."
The no friends part wasn't her biggest problem. Layla was extremely innocent, her childlike body causing her parents to continue treating her like, well, a child. In turn, Layla has never even heard of sex outside of school. She doesn't understand any dirty jokes and even when someone explains, they still just fly over her head.
It isn't all bad, though. She can wear the cute clothes children receive instead of the shit that designers try to have adults wear. That may be one of the only things she enjoys of her appearance, but hey, it's something.
Jacob is the cliche rich vampire prince. He's spoiled and always gets his way, no matter who he's talking to. He can simply mutter a complaint and at least 20 others will try to find a solution to his minuscule problem, causing his life to be full of comfort and joy. Nobody dares to speak against the tall, broad shouldered, muscular man; though it is unclear if it's from his place in the world or his intimidating appearance.
He's been home-schooled for most of his life and so he's never understood the cruelty of teenagers. He's read online of how depressed some teens are, of how idiotic others are, and how cruel the rest can be. He just doesn't get why the foolish humans would be so emotional. He's never felt any of those foolish emotions, so why should they?
