Eternal love (Bai Feng Jiu and Dong Hua Diju...
"So what if Destiny says we're fated, so what if it says we're NOT? I've never feared Destiny and I certainly don't need its charity." - Donghua Dijun
Here's, a brief context with spoilers of drama "Ten miles of peach blossoms, aka Eternal love"
Bai Feng Jiu is the youngest female Monarch/Queen of Qing Qiu. She is the only nine-tailed red fox in the Heavenly Realms, and she is a very young goddess.
Donghua Dijun (Di Jun is literally translated as King Emperor) is one of the 5 Great Gods, he used to be the Heavenly Emperor. He is worshiped by all the deities. His trademark is his silver hair and purple robes. He is almost as old as time itself.
By chance, Donghua Dijun saved Feng Jiu's life and she was indebted/in love with him since then. To repay this debt/pursue her love, she worked as a maid in his palace, changed into a fox to be his pet and even became a human to follow him when he reincarnated as a human for an experience. At the end, Feng Jiu decides that their love has no fate and will never blossom. She gives up on him (but did she really?).
Everyone, who watched this drama, knows that it didn't end happily for Donghua and Feng Jiu. These two have separated, with no true reason. So what if he removed his name from Stone of three incarnations (for marriage). It doesn't mean that it's forbidden for him to love. In the end, he did love her, but his fears are those ones he needed to conquer.
I must tell you that the book 3L3W - The pillow book DID have the happy ending for these two. It's worth reading it. Even if you hate reading, this book (two volumes) will take you into its arms and sing you a lullaby. It's that good.
P.S. This is an original story of mine, so if you want to post this on other sites, please ask my permission first. This is NOT a Chinese translated novel.
