Don't read. A lot of hair pulling and mystery. But the humor should take away some of it. So.... read?
Oaktown High School. Swirling mysteries. Reliving deaths.
When Aiden Hubert returns to hometown, little does she know about anything that's happened. Being ribbed in a home that reeks of alcohol and veering against tarnished brick walls and walking through the d and n of depression made Aiden adopt a burgeoning mind for things that didn't adorn well in any given scenario.
And one such scenario is the Evanley couple. More precisely, the dead couple. Or wait, the presumed dead couple.
Evangeline and Aekley. The perfect couple, everyone said. Two YouTubers, millions of subscribers to watch them do each other's makeups or react to cringey videos or give each other a makeover, one YouTube channel. But swiped clean and deleted after their deaths. But the thing that did not settle here was, the class of 2012-2013 -the year in which the couple would've graduated, if they weren't found dead in the woods- did not have the tiniest idea about the YouTube channel. Neither did the Internet. But it existed.
How did they die? Were they murdered? Was there a mystery someone? Still an unyielding knot.
Now now, how could Aiden Hubert, a legit high school student who returns four years after the couple's death to the very same school, possibly find herself caught up in all of this when the town has clambered back to the times when their death was not the new enthralling subject? Speaking nothing of how she would want to walk straight into it.
But really, when 'Aiden Hubert' walked the hallways of Oaktown High school, everyone saw not her but the dead Evangeline Maxwell.
Also, it's not only the fact that Aiden looked undoubtedly like Evangeline that plagued her brooding mind. It was something that no one looked at, something that Aiden understood was the missing puzzle piece.
Aiden is to start a new journey of riveting words, spicy romance and a whole unsullied life.
