Okay, this was one of my favorites to work on actually. I honestly took the same approach with this one as I did with Project Blackhawk. I just made it up as I went on and I believe that aided in the unpredictability of it. I really hope that you all find it as good as I did. :)
Valeri Nichushkin feels home-sick, even though he is well into his second season. He is also being haunted by inner demons. He is highly depressed and Sergei Gonchar has officially retired, due to his age and a sudden concussion injury, suffered during a Dallas-Minnesota game. (Matt Cooke hit him.) Val misses his fellow Russian and it makes him spiral downward on the ice, quickly. Jamie and Tyler try to help him out, but are unable to.
Meanwhile, Nathan MacKinnon is haunted by terrorizing dreams as well and he is to the point where he can't stand it anymore and jeopardizes his life and career on the ice, by dropping the gloves with known-goon Raffi Torres of the San Jose Sharks. His teammates and captain, Gabriel Landeskog try to help him out, but fail.
The next game, versus the Dallas Stars, he meets up with the young Russian player and at first, they aren't comfortable with one another, but they finally warm up and help one another out with their problems and issues. And soon they make friends of one another.
But they also agree that they need to seek out professional help from a highly praise psychologist. However she is also seeing another patient, a Chicago Blackhawk centre, and she has a bit of a crush on hunky hockey players. She wants this Blackhawk, but she also meets "Kinny" and "Nichy", falling in love with their personalities.
Can she help them get back to their superstar form or will she fall for all three and not help them out at all?
**Lower PG-13 for some strong themes and depression and implied sexual behavior, it's not too heavy, but it is PG-13 I guess...
