If you loved the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's "North and South," then this sequel is for you. "Becoming Mrs. Thornton" picks up Margaret Hale's story from the moment of her engagement. We watch her adjust to life as John Thornton's wife (yay!) and Hannah Thornton's daughter-in-law (not so yay!).

I just found this sequel that you've written. I love N&S, and look forward to reading more of it.

This first chapter is beautiful. Utterly brilliant! I am really looking forward to reading the rest of this book. Credit to you for continuing Gaskell's masterpiece. I love North & South to this day, and this first chapter as Christine has previously said is very promising indeed.

A picky point, if I may - the following sentence looks like it has an editing error:
"She understood him, and he understood her, ages after he had proclaimed himself to." A preposition needs an object.
