Years have passed since Varian first met Cassandra.
Life is going okay for him- he's gotten his first job, and he's actually being taken seriously by everyone- but he can't help but feel like there's something missing.
When he and Cass are reunited, he slowly starts to realize that the thing he was missing was love.
Feeling loved by a certain person.
And that person may or may not be one of his closest friends.

Following his trial, Varian is sentenced to servitude in Ingvarr to pay for damages to Corona. Lieutenant Cassandra is supposed to escort him there, but Rapunzel wants her best friend on her journey. To compromise, the Princess suggests taking Varian with them. ------------------- Updates will typically release on Sundays at 8AM EDT. The cover art is made by yours truly, and was inspired by an album cover from my favorite music artist, Kiltro! Go check out their music- which also inspired the name of this story, haha. My personal favorite song in Underbelly (the album) is Errasuriz. Also! I write everything in google docs, which is where I format everything for AO3 (this work is cross-posted to AO3). So if you spot any letters encased in angled brackets, I apologize, it's how I italicize words, strike them out, and format for AO3. I will do my best to edit them out for you. (Note: All rights go to Disney. While this story involves new dialogue, setting, and storyline, some elements remain the same. Think of it like an artist watermarking fanart, the art is yours but the character is not.)
