There are many things you shouldn't do when writing.

I'm not really sure exactly but I know that an average of 2000+ words is pretty okay. I personally write between 2500-4000 per chapter depending on the plot!

I HATE WHEN AUTHORS DO THIS LIKE IM TRYING TO READ A BOOK NOT A TEXT MAN
OMG SO RELATABLE
I've stopped reading so many books just because of that

There are limits, though. Being too overly descriptive or using overly poetic words will turn off your reader.

Indeed, description is an absolute necessity in writing, but you can't overdo it. It would undoubtedly make your writing laughable or just make your reader skim over, bored.
