"I'm sorry Anna, I'm so sorry." Those were the last words Anna Triss heard her father say before a large man pushed her into the back of a carriage. ////////////////////////// Anna Triss figured life was going okay. Her parents weren't rich, but she had no idea they were struggling so much. She had no idea until one day her father woke her up, told her to get some things together and meet him outside. As soon as she left her house she realized she'd never come back. A man stood next to a carriage, her mother wept into her husbands shoulder and Anna's father stood stone faced. She was being sold. It was common for people who didn't have money but her parents had always said they would never resort to it. Anna watched her life drive away from her and was determined that no matter what happened, she would come home. Eventually. Hopefully. *this story is rated pg 13, it contains some scenes that might disturb younger people, might not but there's my warning*

What era is this set in ???? I'm trying to imagine it , I saw the word carriage and I though it was medieval timing but it's not presented like that so I was just wondering ????
