❛ KNOW YOURSELF.
KNOW YOUR ENEMY. ❜
Nelson von Arryn never fails to remember things, and ofttimes wishes that he does. It's almost a curse to remember everything that has happened in his life. There are nights where the tortures in his youth, the loneliness and grit of the naval warzone, and the murdered bodies of his household play vividly in his slumber. The stench of his sins and the pangs of regret gnaw his bones in the dark, disappearing by the time dawn shines over the thick dome protecting The Frontier.
But when a peculiar young man storms upon his home, he's proven wrong for the first time in ages. For he no longer recalls the reason why he decided to stay within the impregnable fortress two years ago, days after his family died a grisly death.
Did he look for something here? Anything? Did it have something to do with the murder case? Is this a mission from the government outside, or his own initiative?
As a plethora of questions arise, so does his inner shackles. All of a sudden, everyone around him becomes an enemy. Even his own mother, whom he vaguely recalls as the one who invited him in. With this unforeseen glitch in his head, he can't trust what he remembers at the slightest. New sanguine dawns will break from a distance like always, only that now, they come with a price.
As placidity becomes a stranger, Nelson finds himself engaging in two wars at once. The battle for the truth behind all the things he had lost, and a vicious, unprecedented bloodshed within the self-sustained fortress risking millions of innocent lives.
