Spencer Bones knew that the village always thought his dad was crazy. The kids from school would taunt him with his father's own fantasies; his teachers would single him out during class discussions; and even his supposedly 'best friends' treated him like something amusing. And after a while, he started to believe it himself, though he had no basis for his beliefs. That was, until he got proof.
His father, the hardest working man Spencer had ever known and rarely ever saw, disappeared without a trace, ranting about finding his lost treasure.
From this strung a downward spiral in his life. This landed him in the end with no other family besides his younger brother Joey and nothing of value except the clothes on their back. Sadly, the poor boys became orphans, forced to work for themselves at cruel ages.
Because of this, Spencer quickly devises a plan. To make the plan work, he must agree to a a completely different plan, offered to him in secret by a mysterious man. But would he be able to agree to this plan, with the five words that would change his life: "Can you be my Prince?"
But as Spencer follows through with his plan to land him and his brother's feet back at solid ground, he can't help but be haunted by his father's ecstasy-filled voice from the last time he was seen; the last time he was in the village:
"Be strong. Be safe. Stay safe."
