The valley of Kashmir lies in South-East Asia and is a disputed territory between the countries of Pakistan and India, of the same region. The decision with respect to which country the state of Kashmir belonged to was never made at the time of Pakistan's partition from India in 1947, and has not been made up to date. Both countries argue over the accession of Kashmir, yet no one seems to value the thoughts and feelings of the Kashmiris, who due to lack of international support, attempt to gain freedom from their oppressors, only to be martyred and tortured in the cause, and the cycle continues. This is a very short essay that I wrote, hoping to tell the stories of human carnage and viciousness being carried out in Kashmir, to the rest of the world, so that some of you, if not all, may sympathize and stand for our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. For their lives matter, just as much as all of our do.
