Things seems to work out pretty good, until their fathers start to think back about their time at Hogwarts. This made Scorpius feel second-best to a former fellow loser- never a good feeling. But he was bound to distinguish himself someday, he reasoned. Why not now? Scorpius Malfoy and Lily Potter. Two adolescents who were trying to break free from predetermined images that had been thrust upon them. Their only obstacles? Each other.

This is my own version of the next generation's first year at Hogwarts. I wrote the majority of this story long before The Cursed Child came out, so it does not follow a similar plot line. Albus, Rose, and Scorpius struggle to be friends as they are sorted into different houses. Draco and Harry meet again, and this time, things are different. Scorpius explains how his mother died. Pansy Parkinson's son always seems to get in the way. Lucius Malfoy has never been more evil. I've worked extremely hard on this story, so I hope you read it. Enjoy!
