"You're lying." Was the first thing that came out of my mouth. "You can't." I shook my head.
"I can. I do." Alan said plainly. No. Alan cannot love me.
"No." I was in denial.
"Yes." Alan demanded, taking a step forward. I'd never seen him this adament about something before. "Ash, I love you." He reached forward and put his hand on my cheek. I should of moved so I didn't have to look him in the eye, but I couldn't help it.
That's why what I said next was so hard to say.
"Maybe we shouldn't be friends." I mumbled.
