Rejection is never approved in the shifter community.
But then again, even if they wanted to reject their soulmates, they don't.
Year 2015. According to records, Werewolves are the most common supernaturals to go through rejection. Shows how much they put their faith on the God of Fate, Apricos.
Titus Don Alfredo. Otherwise known as the skin-walker. Everyone knows him. You'd be a fool not to. Some say that centuries of executing the shifters who had rejected their soulmates had made him jaded. Others just say that the years of execution had made him an unfeeling bastard. They aren't far off, for Titus is the bastard son of Apricos, born because of an illicit affair between Apricos and an unknown shifter woman. You could say he's half god, himself. Makes you wonder just why Apricos sent him down to live on Earth as an executioner.
Mira Hudson. The first time she went to see an execution was when she was ten years old. She continued to go afterwards with her alpha, not because she wanted to see the executions, but rather, the one who does the executing. She had felt it, first. Now, on her eighteenth summer, she knows it. Titus Don Alfredo, a.k.a the skin-walker is her mate.
Fate really knows how to make one's life interesting. But then again, they say that was one of the reasons his wife, Penelope, married him. She had never known her husband was a one to stray. But when she learned of his affair and his bastard child, she had hated him and his child. Especially due to the fact that she never gave him a son besides three spoiled daughters. And they say that from the moment Titus first took his fresh gulp of air, she had made it so, so that his life was miserable.
But then again, having a mate can't be considered a bad sign. Or could it?
