The third Foggy Hill Fairy Tale. A retelling of Cinderella. In 1816, the Earl of Heathwood needs to find a wife, but the young ladies are exceedingly dull. Fortunately, his fairy godfather offers to take him to the future to find a bride. His time travels take him to the small town of Foggy Hill, Ontario in 2016, where he enjoys Harry Potter, Lucky Charms, and Amazon. He also decides to host a ball, because that is what earls from Regency England do. Cindy works as a maid at the motel, trying to save money so she can fulfill her dream of studying computer engineering. Her life consists of cleaning, cooking, and being yelled at by her stepmother. Alas, her family relocates her to the attic so her stepsister , who runs a lifestyle/cat blog, can use her bedroom as an office. Cindy does meet some new friends, however: a bluebird and two mice who don't like cheese. When Cindy hears of the ball, she is determined to go, but her plans are dashed when her stepsister destroys her dress. Luckily, with the help of her fairy godmother and a can of pumpkin puree, she manages to arrive in style, and she shares a magical waltz with the time-traveling earl. But can she make it home by midnight?
