"I like that I can read this in a child like voice for the beginning and that it's descriptive yet secretive."

"I have so many things to say, but I'll start with, this was amazing. You seriously depicted every emotional turn with such great detail and strength and it's simply amazing"

"You never cease to amaze me."

*

All the things I wish I could say but life just got in the way. My hopes and dreams all taken, my life turned around, I got lost and I don't think I'll ever be found.

This story is a series of letters to my sister Ashley, someone I never had the chance to meet. It will walk through when I was a child and found out I was getting a sister to when I got older and understood why she never came into this world. Through this story you will see how this one thing had such an impact on my life and made me the person I am today. This one moment is what got me into writing. I went from imagining who she'd be as a person to making my own characters and stories so that I could escape the real world.

This is my story. This is Ashley's story. This is my life.

Update: The book is complete. I have revised and edited and I don't feel that there is anything left I need to say.

CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. Memoirs of A Healer/Clinical Social Worker: Autobiography of Bruce Whealton by BruceWhealton

A healer. A survivor. A victim of profound injustice. How does someone who has dedicated their life to helping others find the strength to heal themselves after losing everything? In December 2019, I woke up in a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt. A simple conversation with another patient sparked a shift within me-a glimmer of clarity that would change the course of my life. But how did I end up there? What devastation could drive a loving spouse, a therapist, and a lifelong survivor to the edge of despair? This book unravels the journey that led me to that breaking point and how I found the strength to keep living. My story is one of triumph and tragedy-of overcoming paralyzing shyness and social anxiety to become a psychotherapist, only to have my life shattered by unimaginable injustice. Between 2000 and 2006, I lost everything I had built: my home, my career, my community, and the love that once gave my life meaning. The destruction was sudden, like a meteor crashing down, and the aftermath left me in ruins. Worse still, the world condemned me as a villain when I was only ever a victim. But this is not just a story of loss. It is a story of survival, of how I faced the darkness and chose to keep living. It is a testament to how love, hope, and the power of connection can guide us through even the longest night. Through this memoir, I share not only my pain but also my triumphs-the moments of joy, love, and meaning that kept me fighting for life. I write this book for anyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or unjustly condemned. I write it to show that healing is possible, that our stories matter, and that no matter how broken we feel, there is always a path forward. This is my story. But it is also a story of hope-for you, for me, and for anyone who has ever longed for justice, healing, and love.

Beep beep beep... "Where am I? Am I really dead? is my life really over! What happened to me?" I began sobbing uncontrollably, why did this have to happen to me? Beep beep beep "Jade..." a faint cracked voice spoke out. "I'm so sorry... I couldn't protect you." Austin... that's Austin speaking to me. Save me Austin [ I wrote this FOREVER ago, I just thought I should say it's really..... challenging. There is a lot of self esteem issues and issues regarding mental health. I was in a very dark place when I was writing this- I just thought I should warn potential readers. I've also changed my writing tremendously! I do not write like this anymore. I think it's safe to say I rushed through the storyline and didn't develop my characters as wisely as I wish I did. And to that I apologize. The only reason I have not deleted this story is because this is just another demonstration of my past and a ledge from which I've jumped from to a higher level of thinking. We can't erase our past, but we can see the relics of our time and build from the foundations we've made. ] Kindest regards, -Jay Ørtega
