The rain falls constantly, an endless flow of toxic liquid. Nobody knows why the rain is so terrible, and nobody asks. It has always been that way, and many assume it always will. Some think it's just nature, others think it is an aftermath of a nuclear war. Me? I have no idea, but it has always fascinated me.
Ever since I was a young child, the I thought the rain was beautiful. That is, until I found an opening in one of the older tunnels and stuck my child sized hand out in the rain. The pain was like nothing I'd ever felt before. My hand turned crimson red then purple and somewhat black. Mother scolded me for being so careless, but it did nothing but fuel my curiosity. Ever since, I would sneak away to the old tunnel in the south west section. It's boarded up, but that's easily fixed. I want to know what the rain is from, and what caused it.

Elizabeth Anne Baker is from the North Tunnel, and about as abnormal as you can get. She is the middle child and overlooked by everyone, not wanting to burden anyone else with her own minuscule problems. That is until she meets a strange blue eyed man. They say he's mad, but nobody is madder than Elizabeth, right? Will Elizabeth, her brother and sister, and the strange man with blue eyes solve the mystery of the rain? Will they ever stop the rain?
