What happens when Remus is tired of the Marauders and leaves them?. He bonds with certain Slytherins that evoke some nasty feelings( 'cough' jealousy) in the Griffindors especially Padfoot. Would James' rotten tomato of a brain understand his true feelings to wards a particular Slytherin.

At the age of 16, the given witch or wizard will go through a creature inheritance (if that person has creature blood in their family line). Severus Snape goes through an early (and very painful) creature inheritance, and has trouble finding his mate, or rather, coming to terms with who his mate is. James Potter is having the same trouble with his inheritance.

Severus is hated by basically everybody. His home life is no better than his school life. He's abused and bullied. And the only thing that brings him out of the harsh reality is Lily and books. One day James is bored, walking around with none of his friends. He was the only one with a free period from the marauders so he decided to wander around. Then he found Severus curled up under a tree reading an old book. What will he do? Say something? Hurt him? Or just stand there hoping not the be noticed by the Slytherin? There was a rumor of a mysterious man that roamed the hall of hogwarts. He was too old to be a student and yet too young to be a teacher. He wore muggle clothes and whistled as he walked with a little pep in his step. People who interacted with him said he was awfully sarcastic and almost always had a mischievous smile on his face. His shaggy black hair, light olive skin and dark eyes reminded people of two students in 6th year, but not enough to make an impression. Severus is tired. Hes in a relationship that is purely conventional and hes tired of living a life without light. His husband however is scared. Scared that if he gets too close he'll accidentally show the affection he held so dear for his husband. Its a idiot in love and a tired chemist who wishes his husband would try. So james makes it his personal mission to get severus snape in love with him again.

No one knows what happened to James Potter over the break. All they know is that he disappeared two weeks before thanksgiving and came back a different person. He wasn't who he used to be, and he doesn't think he ever will. Severus has his own issues but when you have an unreasonable urge to protect and comfort someone who needs it, you dont question it you do it. On Halloween, lily dies but James survives. James struggles to find somewhere to live until dumbledore offers him a place but with a roommate. He says yes but the roommate is his school enemy, Severus Snape. Harry has to live with the Dursleys but James realized he never loved lily, he loved... Severus. Tobias. Snape

(**BEING EDITED**) Maybe it was because of Potter's mess of a hair that caused Severus to hold himself back from messing with it. Or, maybe it was because Potter could walk around with such confidence and cockiness. Suddenly, everything made sense.. Severus always wondered why he would spend hours look and flawing every good and bad things about, not just Potter, but even Black and Lupin. He sometimes thought so he could use it as blackmail. Though, the more he endorsed his thoughts, the more he wasn't sure.. He was in love, in love with his torments for seven years. In love with the people who were Heartbreakers. ..........
