The story focuses on the slowly developing relationship between Sakura and Sasuke. It takes place after Chapter 699 of the original manga, following the war, when Sasuke leaves the village but is forced to return after a mission goes wrong. "I'm scared. Who am I kidding? I'm terrified. Kakashi-sensei would never call me in at this hour unless it was something serious-something the on-duty staff couldn't handle. He knows my skills as well as I do.
